AstroSystems does sell Kydex, and it is reasonably priced.  Kydex is a
thermoplastic ... it is designed to be heated and then vacuum formed around
a mold (e.g., for dashboards on autos).  My understanding is that itt is a
combination of PCV and another plastic.  Kydex is also a trade name ...
there is a generic name which I can look up if anyone is interested (as I
can also do for the composition).  I would think that suppliers for the
auto industry could be a prime source.  You might ask the folks at
Astrosystems
