Rex,

David Lane designed a system he calls the microguider. Version I is a
system that is totally self contained and has its own two line LCD screen.
It has a Z-80 microprocessor built in and is most impressive. It also
interfaces with astronomy programs to drive the display and show where the
scope is pointed.

There is also a version that is only the interface from the encoders to the
PC program.

Dave will provide you the circuit board for either version and the
instructions for building the system.

Dave is also the author of the really fine program Earth Centered Universe
(Shareware). You owe it to yourself to try it!!! He recently won an award
for it (see one of the later editions of S&T for a news clip on it)
