Thanks Kevin, I'm sure that was the reference I noticed. Seems to me though that making a 4"- 5" cassie "coffee can" scope would be pretty feasible. I guess I was wanting someone to say that they had made one and the plans were very easy to follow. I still working on my 8" Newt. And was thinking of something more portable as lots of times I ride my Harley to the star parties. Also the wife and I like to hike in the mountains of Big Bend National Park (greatest dark skies in the world). I was thinking of buying one of the new Meade ETX's, but I would rather work it out on the grinder. I will research this a little fruther as it want be long before it will be to cold to hike and camp in the mountains. I will keep the list posted of my progress.
