First, sorry about the "non-member submission"; I don't usually log
on from my old 'Tech account, but I did that time, and managed to
write a nice long letter and send it, before realizing that I was
sending it from the wrong account.

Anyway, I managed to finish fine grinding over the weekend, without
serious scratching of the mirror. It required a fair amount of
backtracking, but nothing as serious as the gouge that I mention
in the earlier post.

Basically, I just resorted to mirror-on-top grinding and a short
(< 1/4 diameter) stroke. Some scratches appeared but they weren't
serious, and I was able to remove them after maybe one or two wasted
wets. (I was using a solid tool here, as per Texereau--a bit
thinner than the mirror but otherwise the same. I guess every-
body's using tile-on-plaster nowadaze, but for this little mirror,
I didn't think that method was worth it.

Cheers,
