ATM baffles

In the Astronomy issue of september (or august?) I read the article about
baffling. Because have have to carry my 12 inch telescope (30 kilogrammes)
two stairs up to a roof-terrace each time I want to use it, I don't want to
make it heavier. So I looked for very light material to make the
baffle-rings. I made them from a kind of foam, used as undergroud for wooden
(parquet) floors. It is very light, 3 mm thick and stiff enough to stay in
the right shape. It's easy to cut with a hook-formed stanley-knife. It's also
paintable. I am going to mount the rings by glueing them on small wooden
blocks with velcro (to be able to replace them if nessasary). The blocks I
glue to the tube wall with two-sided self-adhisive tape.

Greetings,
