Well, when I made plaster tool for polisher, I "painted" it with epoxy
to seal it and enable pitch to stick better. It worked quite well 
(none of the squares ever came loose) ... Maybe different epoxy ?
I used 5min (quick) one, it never really hardens into a glass-like
substance like "real" (20 ton or whatever).
