I recently sent out R-C optics for recoating. This is a Cassegrain "type"
so the secondary is round rather than eliptical. It has about a 5"
diameter secondary. The support is basically a disk of aluminum just a tad
larger in diameter than the secondary itself. It was mounted by having a
piece of cork between the mirror and the aluminum support, and Contact
cement between the aluminum-cork interface, and the Cork-mirror interface.
Is this a good way to remount ? Is there a better way ?
Thanks in advance ....
