(ATM) A finder mount
I've been thinking about a mount for the finder I'm building from the
wrecked binos. I was really impressed with the Christine review in S&T
a couple of months ago. So here's my Christine inspired idea:
Remember that I'm mounting this on a flat board (the camera mount).
Cut a couple of Vs out of 1.5 inch aluminum angle. Mount the front V
with two bolts that allow the V to move up/down. Mount the back V with
two bolts that allow side/side movement. Epoxy a couple of magnets at
the centers of the Vs, and epoxy some steel pieces on the bottom of the
finder. Should be able to just snap on the finder and go... It may
even stay aligned.
There will be slight mis-alignments between the Vs and the finder as
things are adjusted. The magnets, if strong enough, should keep the
finder snugged up in the bottom of the Vs.
I may need tabs on the finder that butt up against the front/back sides
of the Vs to keep it from sliding forward/back...
What do you think?

where m is the magnet and b's are bolts...
