(ATM) ATM list move will occur on Saturday 10/7

Mel Bartels will officially fire up the new listserver for the ATM list 
on Saturday 10/7. There may be a few glitches as we turn off one list and 
turn on another, but I suspect that the tranistion will be quite smooth 
after a couple of days.

The last 10 months have been a great experience. I want to thank everyone
for being such a wonderfully mature group and for tolerating my jabs about
"off-topic" posts <grin>. The volume and quality of information we have
exchanged is truely phenomenal. The subscriber roster clearly illustrates
that we are a very fortunate group filled with extraordinary talent. 

I'd like to publically thank Rich Combs, who ran a "no-charge" telescope
making work-shop for the Tri-Valley StarGazers here in Livermore
California, my introduction to ATM. A very generous individual with a
wealth of knowledge that he shares freely. I'd also like to thank everyone
else who has contributed to our continually expanding horizons. 

The transition of the ATM list is into the hands of the extremely 
accomplished and talented, Mel Bartels. I hope everyone will join me in 
wishing him a warm welcome ! (now just how do you clap on E-mail ?)
