Re: (ATM) Maksutov Circulars

Hello!

I just got the vol.1 of 'Advanded Telescope Making Techniques' by
Allan Mackintosh today - I have  vol. 2 "Mechanical" from earlier.
Reading the foreword he says that the "Maksutov Circulars"
were split in two volumes 1:"Optical" and 2:"Mechanical".
The Norman J. James article is in vol.2 "Mechanical". pp. 196-216. There
are also other fiberglass articles by Scarborough,Mackintosh and Ortwein
- about 5 pages.

A selection from "Maksutov Notes" are in "Telescope Making Techniques",
Vols. 1,2,3,4, 1977, William Charles Communications, Kinneton,NJ.

(According to Texereau a complete set of "Maksutov Notes" can be obtained
by the "Leigh Valley Amateur Astronomical Society, Inc. c/o Mr. William 
Machose, 136 S. West St. Allentown, ,PA 18102. - I don't know if this applies
today!? - Texereau 2.ed. 1984)
