The marking is the important part of the cutting.  A handsaw will
keep a straighter cut than a circular saw but you do need to use
a fine bladed saw as you will be cuttting the short way through
the plastic in the middle and that will make for difficulties in
cutting.

Actually, if you really want it straight, drop by your friendly
machinist and ask him to put it in his big lathhe and cut the
ends square.
