When bending wood, remember that steaming it will allow it to
bend easily.
Steaming is done by making a tube that will hold the wood )a
piece of PVC_ and allowing steam from a kettle to flow into the
tube for a while. Pull the wood and quickly, before it starts to
really cool, bend it around whatever you want tobend it around.
Leave it for a day or so and it will take the approximate shape
of the form. There i9s no pressure really required for
thisalthough pros do use a few pounds of pressure to make their
work go faster. Steaming wood has been done for many centuries
and there is probably a good primer on doing that on the web.
Reminds me that I'e got to steam a cane up for me from some
botttlebrush limbs that I've got lying about.
