Hey there, Bob.  Yeah, I tried a green scrubbie and some Dawn, but
still couldn't get the edge clean.  Then again, I was being a little
bit timid, for fear of ending up with a pretty edge and a scratched
mirror....

I'm not used to working on stuff that can be damaged so easily.  It
appears that lapping glass ain't like lapping cast iron.  Surprise,
surprise.
