Thank you for your comments. I will take them to heart.

The grinding stand is too low, no question. It is also too wide for 7 inch disks, better for my 12.5 inch project, but still too low. I'm building a taller stand. Walking around a steel drum just doesn't do it for me.

I'll adjust my grit use, my wallet thanks you for the suggestion.

As to the phone, Headsets? I thought having it removed from the house was the way to go myself. I do have a jack in the phone for a headset, I'll give it a try.
