[ATM] WG: Fused Quartz Blank

Hello all,
	The last mirror I made was a 10" f/6, about 1.5" thick, quarz. It's
very tough, and takes a good polish. It took three evenings to rough grind
it with #60 SiC. Due to the thermal stability and good conductivity it's
much better to figure than Pyrex.
I wouldn't hesitate to make another quarz mirror - though you'll need to
take some care with such a thin blank

Best wishes, Jerry

Go for it!!! It is a harder material, so is slower to grind and figure.
The stabile thermal qualities will make testing quicker.

Then again, You just want to give it to me, don't you??
