Thanks for all the feedback on my new scope.

To answer some of your questions:

Yes, the ring design is largely decorative. While I would normally use
a round ring cage, I felt like using my new plunge router and some
geometry to make something distinctive that would distinguish my scope
from the multitude of other dobsonian projects out there. It will be a
bit heavier as a result, but seeing as how its only a 10" scope, I
didn't think it would make much of a difference. This might be a
consideration if the scope were larger. I also toyed with a trillion

As for the scope materials - they are standard Obsession materials:
1"x10"x.049" aluminum tubes, baltic birch 0.5" thick wood, kydex or
Ebony Star laminate tube shroud, stainless steel, etc.

I also didn't include measurements, because I'm still working on the specifics.
