Re: [ATM] Current "favorite" for hogging?

It would be interesting to run an experiment. A generator is nice, but I
suspect the investment in a machine for a single mirror may not be ideal
(of course you will mak more mirrors ;-) ). Anthony Stillman's "can"
generator sounds interesting, and I'd like to hear more about making
one. I've tried making one with a diamond saw blade, but discovered you
need *lots* of pressure on the blade to keep the diamonds cutting. I've
tried a tile tool, but the tiles get thin rather quickly and then you
have to make a new tool (yes, I was using the hardest tiles I could
find). My favorite method is the pipe flange. If you put a "close
nipple" and a "tee" on top you have a nice handle, and one tool lasts
forever. Once the curve it roughed in, you pour a tile on plaster tool
against the mirror, and it's close enough so the tiles stay nice and
thick all the way to the end.
