  There is only one way I will now hog big glass, with a generator.  I suggest either have it generated or build a generator.  And also, a pendulum generator is rediculous.  Put the open end of a small round empty can on the inside or outside surface of a large spherical bowl.  Notice how it fits against the surface perfectly.  Now you know the principle of a concave and a convex surface generator.  Put grinding teeth on a edge of the can, spin it and spin the bowl (mirror blank) about its axis of rotation under it.
