[ATM] Current "favorite" for hogging?

I've read about every old email on hogging and would like to know what 
the current
favorite method of hogging out a mirror blank is. I've got a 14.5'' 
blank that I want
to get to F5 as efficiently as possible. So far I've seen:

Sandblasting
Diamond blades on angle grinders
Diamond blades on a steel can rim
Diamond knife hones
Steel can rims
Gears
Steel washers on plaster
Nickels on plaster
Tile tool
Iron Flanges.

Is there any "congealment" on methods for fast hogging glass?
