[ATM] Squirrels and Observatories

   Bob, I enjoyed your description of your outing to a "so called" publicly 
funded observatory that has been supported by your tax dollars and everyone 
else in the state, or country. (I don"t know if it is state funded or 
Nationally funded) If this observatory is privately funded , you have no 
bitch.
    If this is not the case, you have every right to visit with the 
guidelines set forth by the state or national bylaws.  I have respect for 
wildlife and existing roads used by personel maintaining the preserve, but 
lets not go overboard and restrict and area or road to access a publicly 
funded site.
   I would suggest contacting the local state rep. and ask "whats up with 
the publically advertised area (51)?"   It sounds like this is a local 
attempt to keep visitors out.. It sure has nothing to do with Squirrels...   
Fight back...rats with tails are more abundant that decent telescopes..
