Hi Ric,

It's obviosly better to use interferometry with the light
travelling back through the same path as some lens will be
errors removed. The system in the photo is sound though, albeit
having the need for very precise components. The two lenses are
producing the equal and opposite abberations to the theoretical
mirror under test, so the Focault test will be equivelant to a
standard Focault test on a spherical mirror.
