You don't say if you are threadcutting with a partial profile
insert (60 degree Vee) or a full ISO profile insert, but
according to the threadcutting calculator I wrote years ago, you
need a bore of 48.875mm. I'll finish the calculator off and
upload it if there's any interest. BTW, Metric threads normally
have an engagement of about 57% and a good rule of thumb for
bore or tapping drill is (Diameter - Pitch)
