The ionic breeze things are basically ozone generators and they
ionize the things in the air which then collect on a rod of the
opposite polarity.  Needless to say, a lot of excess ozone is
generated and that is nasty stuff for a lot of synthetic
materials. as well as glues.  I'd only use one with an all metal
scope.
