"IF" a 1.25" were large enough for your purpose, a 2" would still be a wise
choice. You could then place a baffle at the bottom edge of the drawtube and
reduce reflection off the inside of the drawtube.  Besides that, almost for
sure, at some point in time you will have a fine 2" diameter eyepiece in
your hand that you wish you could put in your scope.
