Thanks to everyone that replied.

I live in Tacoma, WA, so I've never seen this "sun" that you speak of. 
However, if the clouds break up sufficiently, I'll give this test a try.

The blank will be arriving this afternoon. Would it be appropriate to 
post the results here so you guys know how it turned out?
