[ATM] A strange Primary mirror cell in INTES MAK NEWT

I examined the primary mirror cell more closely. It is in a class of it's own.

Only the edge is really supported.

I has three 1/4" thick machined arcs around the edge each covering about 1/5 - 1/6 of the circumference.
These span the entire edge thickness of mirror with a small lip under the back of the mirror.
These arcs are tightly compressed against the mirror edge by a center tension bolt. You can't turn the mirror , it is under pressure. These arcs act like a vise with their inner surface in full contact with the mirror edge. I wonder how this can work?

Dale did the Mak Newt you tested have this design? I did not describe it accurately before.
I noticed pinching last time out. How does one adjust the tension?
Torque wrench anyone.
