Hello list,

My concern regarding the tubular Dob is keeping the mirror clean and protected, but I'd like to keep my 'first light' as is, rather than convert it to a truss scope.  Does anyone have their 'ideal' solution? Someone mentioned the word "tailgate". Is tailgate what it sounds like; easy access to the cell? (12" sonotube is a tight fit for a 10" cell).  Does anyone cap the top end?
Maybe a bayonet arrangement out of wood, coupling the cell to the tube? 
Just considering eventualities...
