Give me a star chart, a telrad, a scope, and a red flashlight.... star 
hopping is part of the fun for me...

I do use Goto for my CCD imaging.  I tell the scope to go to my object 
to image, get the images going.. and then I get my other scope out and 
browse the sky..  (CCD imaging is SOOO boring while taking the shots).
