The lateral wire test is the test where a slit is used for the
source and a wire is used as the light block. The slit of about
.004" and a wire of about .006" should be about right. The image
you see is of a ring around the mirror with a central line. The
ring is the ROC point on the mirror. You measure just like the
Foucault test and the data reduction is exactly the same.
