[ATM] Shaping a focuser board to match tube
It would be easy to do on the table saw, just nibbling away one side and
the other back and forth in ever increasing (or decreasing, if you start
in the middle) depths till you have nibbled away the radius you want,
setting the fence a blade's thickness in or out with each pair of
passes. And that will also give you the most accurate, square cut. You
will have to make a zero clearance insert for the hole for your table
saw blade, tho, so the focuser base doesn't bind with the blade or slip
into the space when you get to the edges, and of course make sure that
you use a push stick for moving the base of the focuser. An alternative
that I've used is using a bench top belt sander but it's much more
difficult to keep the curve square with the focuser. Table saw is the
way to go.
