Hello all,

Lot's of talk about ultra thin mirrors!  I have seen some ultra thin 
mirrors fabricated by first fabricating the mirror into a full thickness 
piece of glass.  After the correct figure is in the mirror, the back is 
generated down until the desired thickness of the mirror is reached.  
One example is the NGST demonstrator mirror.  It started it's life as a 
fullsize piece of zerodur, and ended up being about 2 (mm) thick.  Check
