Sounds dangerous to me. One possibility is to take a piece of scrap wood
and determine the angle by trial and error. A safer approach is to wrap
sandpaper around a tube of the same diameter and sand the curve into the
bottom of the focuser plate. This may take a while, but at least you get to
keep all of your fingers.
