[ATM] Shaping a focuser board to match tube
Got a question for y'all...
I'm going to build and mount a wooden based Crayford
to a 5.25" metal tube (the son's 4.5" reflector). I
have a 10" table saw. I was considering clamping
guides to the table saw at an angle to the blade such
that passing the focuser base across the blade would
remove the wood to match the 5.25" tube OD. (one small
pass at a time, of course.)
I'm having a hard time determining the angle for the
guides. Has anyone done this? I could just go trial
and error, but I thought I'd try the smart route
first...just ask.
Anyone??
Dave
