Try a slide cover glass with 5 micron grit grouhd on it til it is
all ground.  If you don't have the glass, I could probably do one
in a few minutes.
I don't know if 5 micron will be fine enough for you as it is
still pretty rouhg for this work.  Maybe somebody has some 1
micron or finer grit and can do a much finer ground glass screen.
