Re: [ATM] Suggestions for a "focus screen" for an optical testbench.
Vladimir,
I'm doing it this way, because I have a bunch of near monochromatic
light sources (at those given lines), a reticule (the pattern to be
projected and then focused), and a 2m track to mount it all on.<grin>
I will eventually mount my KE tester on this track, but for now I just
want to check some lenses with the aim to figuring out what glasses they
are made from, well at least as close I can get. Hence the need/wish to
magnify the image formed to get it as sharp as possible....
Clear Skies, Thomas.

Thomas,
How do you intend to decide on exact focus by examining
focused image by an eyepiece?
You should have either well collimated input beam
or optical bench to measure source and image positions
and calculate the focal length.
Why not avoid screen by making paraxial KE test on star.

Vladimir.
