Dave Rowe's program will be pessimistic as it focuses to the
average of the three spots that are generated which means that
the on-axis will be off because the off-axis spot is used in the
calculation for spot diameter.  Focus is also usually a bit off
to minimize the aoo-axis spot size  to the best possible,
providing that the center spot isn't too badly degraded by this.
