Re: [ATM] Luri-Houghton prescriptions.
Ah, then better results can be had by changing the radiuses?
I've got a guy working on a12.5" aperture one, scaled up from the
8" ones done and I'm quite willing to have different radiuses on
the 4 surfaces.
I've also been doing some exploring with a non zero SC constant
and I seem to find that something about a -0/01 or so does make a
slight improvement there. That means that the difference in
radiius on the 12.6" (13.75" mirror) will be about 0.002"
difference between center and edge. Not much but it does take
care of much of the SA that shows up in the central area.
Interestingly, I'm getting a smaller spot about 1/2 or the way
out.
For the Lenses, the line reads MATERIAL, DISTANCE, ROC.
For the mirror, the line reads DISTANCE, ROC, SC, DIAMETER
The Wavelength line reads the three wavelengths used in nm.
The first set is the aperture of the scope with DISTANCE APERTURE
as the two values.
I'll note that the second set of values gives a nice astigmatic
spot shape that is quite a bit smaller in size than what is given
in the first set.
The biggest thing that I'm interested in is finiding out if the
TRACE program is giving me correct answers.
