Re: [ATM] Stripping to re-figure?



I found something slightly different at
http://mathforum.org/dr.math/faq/formulas/faq.sphere.html,
being to lazy to derive the formula myself.

  Spherical Cap = The portion of a sphere cut off by a
plane. 
     Radius of sphere: r
     Radius of base: r1
     Height: h
     Surface area: S
     Volume: V

          r = (h^2+r1^2)/(2h)
          S = 2*Pi*r*h
          V = (Pi/6)*(3*r1^2+h^2)*h
