Re: [ATM] Generated Tool does not Match Mirror Blank

Dave, If you don't know by now, there are three primary rules to making
a mirror:

1. Grind more, worry less.
2. Polish completely to the edge, DON'T test.
3. Figure slowly, test often.

Don't try to start #3 before #2 is complete!!!

Remember: There is nothing you can grind or polish into the blank that
can't be corrected with a bit more grinding or polishing. The worse
thing you can do is break the glass. THAT can't be corrected. But I
can almost guarentee you that anyone who has made more than a few
mirrors has broken or badly chipped at least one.

BE AWARE.....this can become addictive. You could also contract
aperture fever. There is only one perscription that is known to work.
Its made up of ground pyrex mixed with silicon carbide, aluminum oxide,
cerium oxide or rouge, and a bit of "pine tar"!!! <G> When taken in
increasing doses every 4-5 years, aperture fever doesn't show up.

I think my next perscription will have to be around 20-24 inches!! <G>

Good luck, read the archives, ask questions.
