I beg to differ with this statement...
 
Abrasives also have the neat property of inertness, and therefore will not attract the
attention of anything calling itself an authority.


If you put any white powder into a plastic bag and try to sell it on a street corner, you will draw attention from the "authorities" whether it is abrasives or not. Same thing applies if you are trying to send it to an ATM in Pakistan or elsewhere. Be prepared to PROVE it is an inert substance while you are being detained until the LAB tests come in.
