I'm in Australia and I can get those and more just for the asking, most
sales clerks don't know what their selling anyway so to them it's just
stuff to scan and get paid for....
I wouldn't use lye (NaOH) on a polished glass surface UNLESS you really
want to re-figure it, as hydroxides will attack glass, just look at stem
were that has had a few runs in a dishwasher, you start to get
discolouration and white stains, which are actual etch marks in the
glass....
