Re: [ATM] Stripping to re-figure?
Doug,
I made the pitch lap not full thickness and
removed the coating from my 10" a couple weeks ago, it
came of so easily it surprised me, the reason for the
not full thickness lap was because i read the coating
will plug up the lap so after the removal i poured
more pitch on top and have the lap all ready to go
now.
was concerned about newtons law and scratches but all
went well, I for one would recommend polishing the
coating off.
