Re: [ATM] Stripping to re-figure?

The chemical stripping is actually very easy and very fast. You use a mixture of a little bit of cuprous sulfate dissolved in muriatic acid, both easy to acquire at home improvement centers. Put the mirror in a plastic bowl, pour in the mixture (which turns an ominous chlorine green), and in a few minutes it's all gone. Wear masks and gloves and long sleeves, and have lots of ventilation.
Or you can do what Kevin suggests. Either way works fine, most likely.

The aluminum is going to come off, stripped or not.
Why waste chemystery when a little rouge/zircox/cerox
will do the job, with the aluminum oxide helping a bit
to take its creator off?

Don't do the extra step.
