I have built a simple mirror mount for an 8" mirror very similar to the
mount described on Jack Schmidling website with an 3/4" thick x 8" round
cutout that the mirror is "glued" to with silicone.

I am using an 8" F6 Royce mirror and I am concerned about the mirror coming
loose. I am using a  GEM mount.

How safe is the mirror with three blobs of silicone? Any suggestions on how
much silicone and how to do it securely?
