Re: [ATM] Wire spider - er not quite the effect I want
Many thanks for the initial replies.
The wire is 'Ernie Ball' Custom Gauge 10 Electric or Acoustic Guitar String
made in the USA. It was the thinnest in the local guitar and music shop.
It is pretty thin believe me.
Several posters have kindly commented on the fact that the wires don't line
up. I am unsure how to do this if one is collimating via the wires and not
directly on the secondary mirror as the whole stalk and wires move in three
dimensions.
Mel described using a wooden batten or something to clamp and collimate and
then tightening the wires. I presume that the rings or holding nuts are put
in after the collimation while the clamp is still holding the central stalk.
so that they can be made to line up.
Daniel, I will look at your system in greater detail, Many thanks.
Again many thanks
Roger
