[ATM] Large Amateur Telescope

Hello-

My brother and I are two serious amateur astronomers. Without going into
any gory detail, we have built an apparatus with which we have directly
measured the speed of starlight. We want to use it to measure the speed of
quasar light.

Unfortunately, quasars are dim. We don't have enough aperture with the 12"
at Owl Observatory in Kalamazoo. We have unsuccessfully applied for time
through the National Observatory.

We have tweaked and refined and redesigned the apparatus until we think we
can make the quasar measurement with a well-guided 40-inch telescope.

We seek to enlist the aid of another amateur with a large, guided
telescope. We have an eyepiece adaptor that can connect our "black box" to
almost any telescope. Pop in the eyepiece, take three one-hour exposures
on the central object, and out pops the directly measured speed of light
for that object, complete with standard deviation.

We would be happy to provide details.

Does anyone know of someone with such a large scope?

Thanks for any help you may provide.

Tom-
