Ahhh, but can your scope and mount handle a 60 to 120 minute exposure
with a 4" by 5" film plate and show no mount related errors or field
rotation? As well as provide a flat focal plane over a large area?
Those large alloy castings and oversized bearings were used for a
reason, film is a very unforgiving medium when trying to accurately
record the night sky over long exposures.
Fast "film" (probably kodak type 103 plates) probably had a speed of
around 100ASA max.
