[ATM] Curved vane Vs Wire spider
Which would be better for a planetary scope?
I am told that there are no diff. spikes on a curved vane.
But I am thinking so what? Im not looking at stars!
I'm looking at planets - you don't get spikes anyway.
So IF diffraction is a function of % obstruction of the
light path then my instinct tells me that a wire spider would be
better (as it cuts less light path - curved vane being generally thicker)
My question really is which type has more REAL strenghtening of
of diffactive effects?
Thankyou,
Marco Miglionico
