[ATM] B & C Telescopes
Boller and Chivens (sp?), a division of Perkins-Elmer, who may or may not
exist any more either. In the 60s and 70s (probably long before, too), they
were makers of very fine, professional quality (16 inch and up?)
telescopes, mounts, spectroscopes and photometers that sort of thing. And
by professional, Mt. Wilson, Yerkes -that kind of professional. Be almost
the equivalent these days of a club using, say, the backup mirror for the
Hubble. Ties in with my earlier wondering about where the great old scopes
go. How come they never come this way?
