For either plate glass or pyrex, three points (at radius 2.06 inches == 
0.412R) is marginal, but you might be satisfied assuming that your edge 
thickness is still close to 1in.  If you have ground some away, you 
might want to add another point.

Four points at radius 2.62 inches (0.524R) should do just fine, which 
can be made using just one bar.
